Mannington Mills, Inc. (Mannington) is a fifth generation, privately held, family-owned company dedicated to improving quality of life and bringing dignity to people through its range of flooring solutions.
THE TEE UP
Mannington had a number of equally important priorities on deck and was seeking ways to leverage new expertise to create and launch its first corporate responsibility) report. In 2023, Mannington engaged Tiny Mighty Communications (TMC) to help produce this report to showcase its approach to corporate responsibility across its Mannington Residential, Mannington Commercial, Phenix and Burke brands.
THE STRATEGY
TMC partnered with Mannington to create the report, entitled Values in Action, and define a multi-channel internal and external roll-out of the ESG report in conjunction with NeoCon, a prominent industry tradeshow. The plan included:
- Defining Objectives
- Identifying Target Audiences
- Conducting stakeholder interviews
- Providing recommendations for educating employees and external stakeholders on report content and key messages
- Writing, editing and reviewing the report
- Consulting on report design concepts
- Advising on reputational and operational implications of the claims and data being disclosed in the report

THE RESULTS
Feedback was overwhelmingly positive from internal and external stakeholders. Since this first report, Mannington engaged TMC to develop the second Values in Action report for 2024—completed and launched in late May 2024.
Our 2024 work with Mannington included pitching the 2023 corporate responsibility report and press release, resulting in:
- 9 media pickups across relevant contract, business, sustainability and local publications
- 88,140 media impressions
